My CD has just arrived and will be available through CD Baby and other online sources, whose information I’ll post very soon. It’s also available directly from me by mail and at gigs. I’ve been asked if I can stock it at local stores, and will post more information on those sources very soon as well.

In addition to going to the Midwest twice and the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, I’ll be heading to the South in the fall. I may also be going back up to the Pacific Northwest in September. I’m also starting to teach preschoolers at three music schools, so this is a very fun and busy time. I’m adding more ethnic instruments, mostly African right now, to those that my dad left me.

I hope that you are having as much fun with music as I am. It’s so wonderful to share it.

My CD, "Foyo," is due for release in March 2008. There's a picture of the cover on the Photos page here, and I've posted some samples, including my own Lullaby, on the Music page. I'll post information soon about availability.

I have been meeting some really wonderful people while setting up the summer tours and other local events, and have been adding more dates. Putting these tours together and contacting local venues makes me realize how much of a huge community we have with those who work with and for children and their families. It's amazing, and I'm grateful to all the people, staff and parents, who are being so helpful in setting up these dates. Thank you!

I'm booking two summer tours now, one for the Pacific Northwest and Alaska and the other for the Midwest. It's very heartening to learn about what other areas are doing with and for children and their families. I look forward to these tours (and am working hard to finish recording my CD this month).

Today I played the Little Farm Fair in Tilden Park. The event was wonderful and very well-attended. I spent a lot of time at the Little Farm when I was a child, and took my kids there often when they were little. The park district just added a cow barn, which was key to today's festivities. Tilden is a very accessible park within the East Bay Regional Park system, and full of great things to do with kids.

Today I played at Coyote Hills Regional Park, for their 8th Annual Backyard Bird and Butterfly Festival. It was a very nice event, with friendly visitors and great naturalists. The garden is beautiful - and the area very family-friendly. I'm grateful that the East Bay Regional Parks have been able to preserve land for us to enjoy. I love being outdoors, and recommend this area to others who do as well. http://www.ebparks.org/parks/coyote.htm

I played three times this summer for the Randall Museum, which I highly recommend to young kids and their grown-ups. The museum's mission is to provide hands-on environmental education. The staff does a fantastic job with their exhibits and programs, including special activities for teens. The Randall Museum's web site is:
